The cost of this workshop is $50 per person and will include coffee and sweets in the morning. Participants will dine on their own during the lunch break. All proceeds from this event will jointly benefit the Darien Historical Society and the American Quilt Study Group. Sue Reich is a member of the Professional Association of Appraisers – Quilted Textiles, which was established in 1992 to promote, guide and test AQS Certified Appraisers on their knowledge of fabrics, dates, construction techniques, the ability to recognize patterns and regional influences, and on their awareness of values of quilts and related textiles in their geographic area. Sue Reich has authored two books: Quilting News of Yesteryear: One Thousand Pieces and Counting and Quilting News of Yesteryear: Crazy as a Bed-Quilt. Also, Sue has co-authored Quilts and Quiltmakers Covering Connecticut. She has been guest curator at the New England Quilt Museum, the Museum of the American Quilter, the Litchfield Historical Society, the Mattatuck Museum and the Gunn Museum. She has lectured at the Quilter's Hall of Fame, The Museum of Science and Energy, Quinnipiac University, the Webb, Deane, Stevens Museum, the Wethersfield Museum, the New England Quilt Museum, the American Quilt Study Group, the Bruce Museum and at other venues.
