Postponed  — Join Tom Kelleher, historian and curator at Old Sturbridge Village, at the Darien Historical Society's Bates Scofield Homestead, 45 Old Kings Highway North, Darien at 3:00 p.m. as he talks about daily life and national trends in the early decades of the 19th century, when Darien first became an independent town. 

Back then, James Monroe was leading the country, a spiritual reawakening was taking hold and daily life revolved around the rhythms of nature.
