Preparations are underway for Darien Historical's next major exhibition in our Scofield Barn: "Front Page!!!...April, 1865 in The New York Times...Our Nation's Triumph and Tragedy in 30 Original Issues!" This exhibit opens on Friday, March 20th with a Champagne Reception and will run until May 31st.

Font Page!!!...April 1865 presents the original, 150-year-old editions of The New York Times for each day of April 1865 along with other memorabilia. This month might well have been the greatest newsworthy month in American History: chronicling General Grant's exciting chase of the Confederate Army to end the war, Lee's eventual surrender and the assassination and funeral of President Lincoln.

Our curator for this show is the Society's Historian, Ken Reiss. The Society will host a lecture and evening receptions, and a souvenir program booklet will be printed.

This exhibit is a major fundraising event for us and your support will help mount this exhibit. We hope you will consider becoming a sponsor at one of these levels.

We greatly appreciate your support.
