Our Garden Club of America Award-Winning Historic Gardens host early-American period correct herbs, roses and other blooming flowers including fragrant lavender.
The original gardens were a generous gift of the Garden Club of Darien in 1968. In 2009, the Garden Club of Darien,.under the leadership of Cyndy Stamm and consultant Lucinda Brockway, further expanded our gardens to complement.the newly completed Scofield Barn addition. All of our flowers and herbs were carefully selected to represent herbs and.flowers known to have been grown in Connecticut gardens before 1800.
Today our gardens continue to be graciously maintained by the Garden Club of Darien and provide a genial entrance for our Museum and a place for quiet contemplation.
