Emeritus Connecticut State Archeologist

THE LONG JOURNEYS HOME —
THE REPATRIATIONS OF HENRY ʻŌPŪKAHAʻIA AND ALBERT AFRAID OF HAWK

    Sunday, February 10 at 3:00 p.m.
Connecticut’s “Indiana Jones” chronicles the intergenerational stories of two Native Americans who left their homelands and eventually died in Connecticut.

Bellantoni's role in the excavations and his participation in the repatriation process provide a vivid glimpse into the wide-reaching impact of colonization and imperialism on Indigenous people in the New World.

Reception, book sale and signing will follow the talk.

This event is free and co-sponsored with Barrett Bookstore.
